With this piece, I wanted to revisit a theme that had already captivated me back in 2021: the flower meadow. At that time, I created BLUMENWIESE—completely free and intuitive, without using any stencils. Later came BLUMENWIESE II, where I used a stencil for the first time to apply pink blossoms.

Eventually, the stencil faded from memory—until I stumbled upon it again while working on a new painting that, at the time, had no title. The composition initially posed challenges; I was searching for a spark to guide the next step. Rediscovering the stencil was exactly that spark. It gave shape to the painting—and it became “I PROMISED YOU FLOWERS”.
