After recently working mostly on paintings laid out on the floor — using fluid paint, pouring techniques, and expansive gestures — this piece was created entirely upright for the first time in a while. The choice of materials and the way the paint was applied reflect this shift: thick, creamy layers of paint, applied generously and built up while still wet. The result is a surface rich in depth, texture, and sensual opulence.
"PINK DECADENCE" thrives on its materiality. The creamy texture, the saturated tones, and the deliberate excess create a sense of abundance and a celebration of painterly indulgence. Pink is not treated here as a delicate nuance, but as a bold statement — decadent, confident, and expansive.
A work that embraces the joy of the process and celebrates the sensuality of the medium.
