The Taínos were the most culturally advanced of the Arawak group to settle in what is now Puerto Rico. This painting incorporates ancient petroglyphs from what they left behind in Borínquen as a tribute to the native culture. It encapsulates their reverence of the sun and water as well as the Tribal mythology of a frog, the Coqui, indigenous to Puerto Rico.
