Vanessa Woods grew up watching her dad paint. The development of her own art style was inspired by his use of bold colors and upscale gold-leafing. Throughout Vanessa's youth, she created countless graphite-sketched portraits. In the year 2015, she decided to put a brush to the canvas and has been prolific in stretching canvas and painting ever since. Her musical history, dance background, and cultural heritage ranging from Puerto Rico to New York to the Pacific Northwest, influence her works. In essence, Vanessa Woods conveys family, music, dance, nature and history with her art.
“The beauty/gold of life.”
