This piece was created with the process beginning far from a studio and from any proper tools or materials. It continues to transform in the same way I see the world evolve, ever-changing and taking on new shapes.

An emerging theme of my work is the relationship of shapes; the placement and situation of each form reflects the human connections to each other. My process begins on a micro scale in building unique parts and pieces, as most evident in the natural world, to be examined and then interconnected. Each shape influences the next form, creating the trio of objects in this exhibit.

It is important to me to work toward both ends, the micro and macro scale, where details in each individual form, movement and pauses, are as important and unique as the experience of the observer.

As a multimedia artist, I am captivated by the limitless possibilities of creative exploration. I experiment with processes, materials, and forms, which eventually converge to give shape to my ever-evolving visions. There is excitement in the unknown, and the act of observation. I am driven by an unbridled curiosity, fueling a deep yearning to learn and grow. Working at a larger scale allows me to immerse myself and body in the creative process. Instead of a piece of art as an independent entity, I am producing art that interacts with either itself or it’s environment.
