Although billing itself as the “World’s Oldest Passion Play,” based in Freiburg, Germany, this was a traveling family production run by brothers Adolf and Georg Fassnacht and a company of German actors when Morris Geist brought the production to the U.S. in 1928. Blackfriars collection holds two play books of these U.S. productions from 1928 and 1929.
