I fell in love with a vase of peonies in a lovely welcoming AirBnB on the island of Texel in the Netherlands, my adopted home. They were in bud when we arrived and opened up on the first morning to a glorious display. I chose one to concentrate on and the vector art work took around six months, off and on, due to my frequent ill health. This peachy colour was close to one of the hues on the petals, although they changed amazingly each day.
