The yellow boxes in this painting are meant to act as windows into peoples’ lives and experiences, showing anything from commuting on the bus to someone’s life being ended. These boxes are my way of demonstrating how visions can come to me out of nowhere and either be slightly traumatizing or really nothing to rave about. The bodies emerging from the portal on the left with blood covering them shows the difficulties that life can bring but how people persist and keep living on despite their hardships, life after life. Last thing I added were thoughts and questions I have about life that are written in Italian. In a way I’m revealing my thoughts to you, the viewer, but at the same time keeping them a secret...unless you speak Italian, of course.
