This painting was inspired by delving into reading university papers on psychic experiences and explanations regarding why they happen. A book by Alicia Puglionesi, ‘Common Phantoms’, released under the Stanford University Press talked about those things. Reading it made me feel like for the first time in my life I had accessed a deeper and more thoughtful explanation for my visions and other spiritual experiences. I wrote in the background of this painting a sort of passage to myself about this subject which is mostly covered by a woman and a skull spirit. The text is directly related to my feelings of aloneness and isolation in being the only one I know personally who has psychic experiences on a daily basis.
