This copy explores Monet’s celebrated winter landscape, where a lone magpie perches on a gate against a snow-covered field. The painting is renowned for its luminous handling of light and the subtle blue and violet shadows cast across the snow. Through this study, I engaged with Monet’s impressionist sensitivity to atmosphere and his ability to transform simplicity into poetry.
