This copy recreates Sisley’s impressionist vision of the Seine flooding the streets of Port Marly. With loose brushstrokes, shifting reflections, and luminous skies, the painting captures the fleeting quality of light and movement that defined Sisley’s approach. Creating this copy allowed me to study impressionist handling of color harmony and atmosphere.
