I find inspiration and invaluable lessons in the works of the great masters, recreating their masterpieces and, in doing so, gaining insights into their techniques and styles. Copying these works is more than practice; it is a dialogue across centuries, where each recreated brushstroke deepens my understanding of light, color, and composition. Alongside these master studies, I create original pieces that reflect my own journeys and experiences — from portraits of family to landscapes painted on site or from my own photographs. My work spans genres from figurative and portraiture to surreal and experimental, always with an eye toward capturing mood and atmosphere. Painting, for me, is both a discipline and a joy: a way to learn from tradition while giving voice to my own artistic curiosity.
Statement
Each stroke of the brush is an exploration of form, color, and emotion, and every canvas reflects my dedication to understanding the language of painting. Whether working on portraits, landscapes, or figurative compositions, I strive to capture not only the outward appearance but also the atmosphere and inner essence of the subject. At times I lean toward realism and careful observation, at other times toward surreal or whimsical expression, blending imagination with experience. My goal is to create works that invite curiosity, reflection, and connection, while continuing my own lifelong journey of learning and discovery.
