Beginning on January 1, 2020 I created a small object each day for the entire year, using mundane, scavenged and re-worked materials, which resulted in 366 elements (it was a leap year). This piece documents the creation of these pieces, along with the title I gave them each day. The elements are organized chronologically; each row represents the duration of a month and each object is identified by the day of its creation, along with its title. Being that the year 2020 was the onset of Covid, this piece ends up being a product of how time slowed down, and of the compartmentalizing that occurred while we waited out the pandemic. This was not planned. I merely wanted to establish a disciplined, journalistic approach in documenting the quotidian life of an artist.
