Certain images whisper to me for years before I agree to try to share them through a painting. I always knew this painting of street reflections, the old lunch boxes, and coffee shop had to be large. Certain subjects just deserve it. I knew from the start that Refuel had to be in the title. The reflections are of cars at a gas station across the street; the old luchboxes brought back memories of my childhood, refueling my soul; and coffee. We all know coffee's ability to keep us up and going.
