The underlying shapes in this artwork are inspired by the Protea flower. You can see it emerging from the bottom corner and flowing towards the top. The colours are a mixture of magenta with clashes of orange, pacific blues mixed with several different blends of aqua, rich gold and earthy sienna brown. Please take the time to look at the close up images of the artwork, this is really the only way to appreciate the fine details.
