Dog's Head Falls along the Lamoille River in Johnson Vermont is a popular spot in the summer. The falls themselves are attractive and the water below the falls suitable for a cooling dip. This little painting is just below the base of the falls as the water runs out along the cliffs on the far bank. There is nothing special about this particular view, but the light was right and the moving water juxtaposed against the hard rock I found attractive. This is one of those small paintings that have a bigger presence than their actual size would suggest.
