Artist notes: The drama of sky, sea, warm sandstone, dark seaweed and early summer midday shadows are hard to resist. I collected an abstract composition of shapes while asking myself what I had to offer this elegant landscape of exposed seafloor. I chose to start this conversation with the seafloor in the strongest painting voice I could manage.
