Artist notes: Fog changes a familiar view and shifts shapes into prominence and disappears others. Colour becomes muted in the half light and soften under the eye’s gaze. More wistful than melancholy. This is one of my rare works without a ground colour. It seems that the white of the gessobord was enough colour for this foggy day.
