Artist notes: The winter rain is steady as the heavy sky hugs the sandstone. One small clamshell comes close in its perfect composure. It holds the sea and the rain. Nothing else is necessary. I gave the clamshell my full attention along with the rain and the sea and the sky and the sandstone.
