Learning to see beauty in the mundane things around us is one of the joys of living life 'artistically'. I love finding the soft and subtle distinctions of turquoises, purples and greys, in this collection of pebbles, occurring naturally on the shore. They bear a relationship to each other, having been created from the same rocks along the coast, so by painting them all with the same underlying tones, the painting has a harmony and simplicity that might be lost, if I had treated the pebbles separately.
The painting is framed under glass, in a simple profile, contemporary, light grey frame, and a white mount.
