Wet felted merino, mohair, curly locks, Wensleydale locks, mulberry paper, silk tops, silk carrier rods, organza, sari and chiffon silk, silk-wrapped and banana yarn, spun silk thread, and waste yarn on a backing of silk chiffon

Sparked by icy tracks in the snow across a field, and the fantastic colours in the sky, ‘Tractor Trails’ was a one-off play with my materials to get my studio work started for the year. It worked perfectly as a warm-up piece, and I was taken by its simplicity and colour combinations, inspiring the collection of snow-themed work that followed over the next couple of months.
