One of series of six small felt landscapes - ‘Snow Blanket’ - based on studio sketches from photographs taken on snowy walks around Whatstandwell in Derbyshire. I was interested in the way the fallen snow had changed the feel of the landscape, and altered the shapes and marks on it. My eye was drawn to tractor trails and footprints, as well as snow covered stone walls, as well as to the astonishing blue that came through in my photographs.
