“These turkeys are on the prowl in Sica Hollow State Park, a place filled with rugged beauty and ancient mysteries in the northeastern corner of South Dakota. Bringing people to see the wide-open spaces around them feeds my soul. My function as an artist is to provide a window into the natural habitat of the animals I paint. If I grab the feeling of an early morning sunrise, whistle of wings overhead, or smell of cut grain, I've done my job well.”

Growing up in the Dakotas, Daniel Parsons was lucky to have so many open spaces to explore. Focusing on fine arts, Daniel graduated from Bismarck State College in North Dakota while learning how to refine those spaces. He’s been honored to receive several best-
of-show awards and exhibits his work in museums, colleges, and universities. His work is found in private collections in city, state, and federal buildings around the country, and with outdoor groups such as Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
