“This is part of a series of fall South Dakota plants. This nature print contains American cranberry, mums, yellow coneflower, purple coneflower, and sumac inked then pressed into a surface to create a transferred image. We are fortunate here in South Dakota to enjoy the fabulous colors in sumac, one of my favorite plants to print. As in my other nature prints, this piece was printed using oil-based ink, with a color wash of acrylic paint added afterwards. The paper is stained to give the illusion of an aged botanical print.”
