A Quick Eye And Quicker Gate by Mick B. Harrison Image: “This image was created from a branding in 2019 of my grandson-in-law, Chet, and his dad, Clay Crago, sorting calves. When composing a painting, I look for moments in time, small nuances of a subject that are quick to pass, but particular to that life. I believe it’s what gives a piece personality and individualism. I refer to my work as ‘prairie paintings,’ as it encompasses the ‘cowboys and Indians’ aspect of our history.”
