Maui, in my mind truly is a place of magical beauty. When I am on the island, I love going out with a local photo guide who knows the spots that are unknown to tourists. This lonely tree along the side of the road near Makena beach and Wailea is a prime example. It is restful and calming at the end of a long day. It also fits into more masculine interiors than my floral works.
