My art practice challenges social and linguistic constructs in the United States through precisely crafted artworks organized into collections.
MessageNine cast fiberglass anti-riot shields line the wall, translucent yet heavy with implication. They reference state power’s readiness for confrontation, even when lethal force should be a last resort under international law. The work echoes the systemic violence that claimed unarmed lives—George Floyd, Michael Brown, Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner—exposing how policing often escalates instead of de-escalating, transforming protection into oppression and leaving lasting scars on marginalized communities.
