While painting on the deck of our cabin, I had an unexpected—and rather bold—visitor. A curious Whiskey Jack fluttered over and made himself right at home, hopping onto my table, then my easel, and finally perching like a tiny king on the tip of the spatula in my brush jar. He seemed in no rush to leave, giving me just enough time to snap a photo. Later, I captured his visit on canvas.
