The Community Garden located on 12th street behind the Broadway Roastery in Saskatoon is a picturesque urban green space. There is a path that winds its way in and around the various plots that are filled with interesting vegetables and flowers, many that I’ve never seen before. A stroll through the garden can make you forget you’re in the middle of a commercial business district. This little shed located at the east end of the garden had caught my eye many times as my friends and I strolled by the garden for a coffee at the Roastery, it was a pleasure to paint.
