This work was created during my residency at Cortijo el Moro in Andalucía, where the mountain landscape became both subject and collaborator. I began with gestural charcoal marks that echoed the rock forms visible from the studio. Through layers of acrylic — yellow ochre, zinc white, and pioxazine purple — I worked to capture the balance between solidity and change, light and erosion. Stone Conversations is part of a two-piece series exploring the dialogue between structure and landscape.
