- Onatel with Mask, 1987
- color photograph
This work is influenced by my lifelong interest in mythology and anthropology. The mask, in primitive cultures, is revered by the people in their festivals and rituals. It is believed to be a transformation of the wearer to the mythical being it represents. Onatel went through a transformation as she wore the mask.
