“In accordance with existential and automatistic surrealist considerations, my work proceeds from existence to essence. That is, prior to beginning a work, it exists only as separate materials (charcoal, pastel, paper, etc.) but mot as a preconception in regards to its subject or content. The work acquires its essence only upon completion, after being executed through an automatic rendering process.”
