1998
While attending art school in 1998, my images are stretched like silly putty, and explore the golden mean sequence. I begin to manipulate and plan my compositions with a computer. I also discover I enjoy the challenge of referencing a black and white image as scene in "Face in the Crowd " and "Provincial Rooftops" Today I sometimes adjust images with the use of technology, and now bring movement to my images though calligraphic mark making, play, and experimenting with materials.
1999
During the Spring of 1999 I discover that my palette experiences a shift during the early Spring. I explore views from above and saturated colors. My palette shifts with each season possible after years of working in fashion.
Today, still inspired by spring's vibrant options and light found closer to the ground. I'm in the process of cataloging my printmaking and watercolors from this period. Thank you for your patience.
2000
Each Fall as the season becomes cooler, my palette shifts from autumnal warms to wintery blues, purples and neutrals, I find that this will become my most appealing palette for future works.
2002 -2017
A limited amount of paintings were created during this time. While I created thousands of surface designs as a full time textile designer and graphic designer for a major retailor from 2002 to 2012 I managed to work gradually on these two larger works. I'm in the process of cataloging my watercolors and photography created during this time ..stay tuned
2018.2
I find after years of deadlines and creating copious amounts of work as a professional arts, I turn to creating a daily painting.
2018.4
In this fog series I am experimenting with a limited palette, This high key series lends to recalling dense fog experienced growing up in western New York.
SPRING
In this vibrant sculptural painting series, the cool crisp temps of spring mornings as winter fades and the various colors of spring appear conducts me to create.
Rooted in play and rich in textures inspired by the wonder of red found in my garden.
SPRING TRANS
As the weather turns warmer and the flowers have yet to bloom, here is how my art transitions from winter to spring.
SUMMER
During the heat of summer while craving more cooling blues, here is how my art interprets the cooling temps of water and wind on a hot summer day.
WINTER | Landscapes
During the dormant time of year, winter's wonders of blustery winds, ice and snow inspire these scenes.
WINTER | Rural Landscapes
Snow drifts, Trees, and Buildings bending as if they have endured enough of winter's strong winds and freezing temps inspire these dynamic structures.
