URBAN CADENCE: The Sound of The City in Paint

My cityscapes translate the rhythms of sound, memory, and experience. Raised between Texas and New York, I paint the contrasts between open skies and urban grids. Driven by auditory sensitivity, I transform noise and silence into visual rhythm. Drawing from my background in fine arts and fashion, I embed structure within chaos, layering pattern and texture to evoke emotion. My work invites viewers to pause, reflecting on their own personal rhythms of movement, memory, and meaning.

SKYLINE DREAMSCAPES: Whispers from the Roofline

Images that evoke a hush, a held breath, that moment just before or after a city pulses.

SKYLINE DREAMSCAPES: Whispers from the Roofline invites viewers into the city’s quietest heights — where water towers, rooftops, and shifting skies hold the hush between sirens and sunlight. This series captures the emotional stillness found above the urban hum, blending softened forms and impressionistic light to reveal hidden moments of pause, memory, and belonging. Inspired by my love of the city’s energy and the solace of its skyline, these works explore what it means to feel both tethered to place and free in the sky’s embrace.

CURRENTS OF PLACE: A Dance of Memory and Motion

Currents of city and sky meet in these dynamic works — where memory moves, and place becomes poetry.

This series follows the invisible currents that link city and sky, structure and storm, memory and place. In each piece, form bends and shifts — sometimes urban, sometimes natural — reflecting the ever-moving dance between our surroundings and the stories we carry within. Inspired by my northern roots and the energy of urban life, these works invite viewers to lose themselves in the rhythms of motion, pause, and belonging.

SNOWSCAPES: The Hush of Winter’s Embrace

Snow transforms the land into a muted symphony, softening its harshest edges and dampening its usual tempo of nature. My snowscapes capture this rare quiet, where sound seems to absorb into the landscape, leaving only the rhythm of falling flakes and the hush of covered grounds. Using layered whites, grays, and blues, I create atmospheric depth and subtle shifts in texture that evoke the sensation of walking through a world silenced by winter’s embrace. These paintings reflect the serenity I seek in both nature and music—a moment of stillness within the storm.
