Part of the Expressions / Visional collection, "Unbalanced Vision" paints Antar's own asymmetrical sight from within: one half of the canvas rendered as absence, the blind eye she cannot see through, the other opening outward into infinite depth. The imbalance between the two is the subject itself, a direct translation of a lived, permanent visual condition into paint. Rather than depicting the world as seen, the work depicts the seeing itself, uneven, partial, and entirely her own.
