Kotel Wall is Robin Antar’s sculptural tribute to the Western Wall in Jerusalem, one of the most sacred and enduring symbols of Jewish faith, history, and resilience. Hand-carved from limestone, the work recreates the ancient stone surface of the Wall and is draped with a tallit (prayer shawl), evoking the spiritual connection between prayer, memory, and tradition. Incorporated into the sculpture is the Hebrew passage from Psalm 137:5–6: “If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill. Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not set Jerusalem above my highest joy.” Through stone, a material associated with permanence and endurance, Antar transforms a sacred place into a personal expression of cultural identity, remembrance, and the unbroken bond between the Jewish people and Jerusalem.
