Configurations belongs to Antar's Expressions in Stone series, her ongoing inquiry into the internal architecture of human experience. Carved from limestone, the piece takes its name from the ways we arrange and rearrange ourselves - in relation to others, to circumstance, to the shifting pressures of a life in motion. Like emotional states themselves, the form resists a single reading, holding more than one shape at once.
