"Conflicts in the Park" belongs to Robin Antar's Conflicts of Life collection and continues her exploration of pattern, repetition, and spatial rhythm, ideas that first emerged in her works on paper while studying at the School of Visual Arts in the late 1970s. Interlocking forms press against one another, creating movement, tension, and visual continuity as the composition shifts with the viewer's position. Balancing order and individuality, the work transforms repeated shapes into a dynamic dialogue of texture, energy, and form, reflecting the push and pull of human relationships and the frictions of everyday life. The sculpture is on public view at The Hillman Community Gardens on Broome Street, between Willet and Columbia Street, on Manhattan's Lower East Side.
