NY TOUGH / BRONZE is a bronze casting of Robin Antar’s original Carrara marble boxing gloves, transforming a familiar symbol of strength and perseverance into a lasting sculptural form. Originally titled Win the Fight, the work was inspired by a challenging period in the artist’s personal life and was later renamed NY Tough in 2020 as New Yorkers united during the COVID-19 pandemic. Blending hyperrealism with personal and cultural storytelling, the sculpture stands as a tribute to resilience, determination, and the power of community. As Robin explains, “We need to hang tough, be there for one another, be caring, remember our humanity and support each other through this really difficult time in our city.” Part of a limited edition of 12.
