BallPark Frank by Robin Antar Image: This sculpture is the centerpiece of my "What is America?" series. Weighing in at a whopping 300 pounds, it is carved from limestone (the bun) and red travertine (the hot dog). The sandstone colored limestone was carved out of one piece of stone at MARBLE/marble symposium and tinted with the artist's signature technique for staining stone. The hot dog was cut, ground and polished from a solid piece of claret colored Red travertine and topped with "mustard" and placed inside the bun (a feat that is not quite as easy as it looks!). Trust me, you will be the envy of the neighborhood with Antar's Ballpark Frank in your home. Please feel free to reach out and email me at robin@rantar.com to discuss installation.
