The centrepiece of the informal exhibition of the same name held at our gallery "artavec" in Espéraza shortly before the arrival of the SARS-CoV-2 virus abruptly closed the gallery. Taking the title from the phrase in the Beatles song, "Strawberry Fields" should give a hint to the rather simple point of the painting: it becomes less and less "real" as you get closer to it and discover that everything is pixellated and lacking solidity -- all except the plant on the windowsill and the card standing beside it.
In the foreground of the second photo is my installation « Le Déjeuner sur l'Écart » ("Lunch on the void"). You doubtless noticed my joking reference to another Manet painting, "Le Déjeuner Sur l'Herbe".
