Florida Memories II, part of my Inner Landscapes series, is a large mixed-media painting using collage materials such as my photographs, vintage magazine pages, old postcards, and paint. It was inspired by my memories of childhood trips to the Miami airport to pick up my Panamanian grandmother. It evokes the vibrant sights and colors of vintage Miami Beach featuring art deco hotels, and the lively atmosphere of South Beach. (Can be paired with Florida Memories I)
