This painting has been on my "to do list" since January 2019. I got the inspiration for this piece listening to Emily P. Freeman's "Next Right Thing" podcast episode 65 "Take Off Your Crown".
I took reference photos right away but just didn't get around to painting it until recently. When I decided it belonged in my new series.
In the podcast she talks about the decision we all get to make. What do we put first? Ourselves or our belief in something greater than ourselves.
