A Little Blue is an encaustic painting that captures the ever-changing movement of surf and horizon along the Tongan coast. Layered pigmented beeswax, sculpted with heat, this piece is my interpretation of tide, light, and shoreline.
From the foamy shallows in ivory and coral, through a luminous band of teal and ultramarine, to the soft, expansive sky above, each section flows into the next with painterly rhythm and material depth. The textured surface echoes the tactile sensation of water meeting land—a fleeting moment both grounded and infinite. Available in Giclee limited edition signed prints.
