As much as I adore cats, unfortunately, I'm super allergic to them. So, I've learned to show them love from afar, and one way I do that is by expressing my affection through drawing and painting.
This particular piece was created with Micron pens and delicately painted with watercolor. I envisioned it as a portrait that would sit on someone's bedside table, perhaps bringing a touch of whimsy and comfort to their space.
The idea for this little guy came to me spontaneously - a witch's familiar donning her witching hat. I wanted to capture the essence of a mystical companion, a creature that embodies both mystery and warmth.
Through the intricate details of the drawing and the soft hues of the watercolor, I aimed to convey the personality and charm of this magical feline. It's a reminder that even though I can't have a cat of my own, I can still create art that celebrates their spirit and brings joy to others.
Ultimately, this piece was born from my love for cats and my desire to share that love in a way that doesn't trigger my allergies. It's a small homage to these wonderful creatures and the joy they bring into our lives, even from a distance.
