Ah, "Flower Girl" holds a special place in my heart—it's one of my earliest ventures into mixed media, and a true milestone in my resin journey.
Starting with sturdy bristol board paper, I sketched out the portrait of 'Flower Girl' with delicate strokes using Micro Pens. Then, with a palette of vibrant watercolor paints, I brought her to life, adding layers of color and detail until she radiated with personality.
The real magic happened when carefully cutting out the portrait from the paper. After sealing it with a protective layer, I turned my attention to the background, opting for a bold, bright color to make 'Flower Girl' truly pop.
And then came the moment of truth: resin time! As any artist knows, working with resin can be a bit of a gamble. But with each careful step, from sealing to pouring, I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. And thankfully, my efforts paid off.
So here she is, the result of patience, passion, and a little bit of luck. "Flower Girl" is more than just a piece of art; she's a reminder of the joys and challenges of the creative process, and the beauty that emerges when we dare to experiment and explore.
