This community-focused mural is located on Millwood Drive a high-traffic area in the City of Columbia. The mural is located at the edge of the Lyon Street Neighborhood and was created to uplift the surrounding communities and bring life into the area.

“An ancient Egyptian symbol of rebirth, the scarab, now crawls along a Columbia corridor that’s been thirsting for new life of its own.

A soulful family of three face passing cars from the edge of one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. Beside them, an owl is taking shape, a reflection of a community whose members watch out for one another.” -The State Newspaper
