LED lights are mounted on 10in. long thin poles, and installed in the north and south stairwells of Bowling Green State University's Moseley Hall. Each stairwell features about 220 LED's in formation. A central electronic controller sends data signals to each individual light and allows a programmed sequence to trigger each light separately. The top floors of both stairwells become a place to rest and contemplate through the artwork's subtle sequences of light and shadow. The lights are placed in a square pattern aligned with the building's brick patterns. Using light and shadow the artist is exploring the idea of what space is.
