''Connect,'' is installed in the main lobby of the Washkewicz College of Engineering at Cleveland State University. The artwork draws both an earthbound and metaphoric map anchored around Cleveland state's GPS coordinates, and water imagery flowing through the letter E evokes the natural wonder of lake Erie. The use of Cleveland Steel evokes the history of the city of Cleveland as a steel town and a modern industrial, corporate, and technological powerhouse. The seven monumental letters in the sculpture were designed to incorporate the golden rectangle. Pausing along the 75ft. pathway you can catch a glimpse of reflections in the mirror embedded mosaic. Words of wisdom from artists and scientists are engraved in the tile and patterns formed by glass and steel connect each piece of the mosaic to the next.
