Sometimes gorgeous color combinations grab hold of me and don't let me go. In this case, it was in a person. I saw a woman with beautiful, high-volume, high-texture honey and hay blonde hair and bronze caramel copper skin, wearing bright, tropical colors, and I just had to celebrate that beautiful color combination by creating a portrait. The woman depicted in this painting is positively dripping in celebratory color and bling, but her face hints at emotions that go deeper than the party.
